CARON WHALEY

Caron has been personally trained and certified by internationally acclaimed horse behaviourist, Monty Roberts, and classical riding expert, Heather Moffett. Having spent almost 2 decades overseas Caron now brings her global expertise of educating young or challenging Arabians & Thoroughbreds back to Somerset (UK).

Caron has over 35 years of horse experience having started riding at age four. In 2005, she began an intensive 3 years of specialist training in the concepts of Monty Roberts, and was subsequently hand-picked, by Monty, to represent him internationally - an honour held by less than 25 people, worldwide, at the time of her certification. During those 3 years she gentled wild horses, trained dangerous horses and started, under saddle, young horses ready for riding. Caron has also been trained and certified by Heather Moffett, a long-time student of classical riding master: Captain Desi Lorent (a student of Portuguese Maestro, Nuno Oliveira). In compliment to her practical expertise Caron has knowledge of nutrition, breeding, anatomy & physiology, and youngstock & stallion management. Caron's passion is helping "misunderstood" horses; her interventions have allowed a number of dangerous horses, destined to be destroyed, to transform into emotionally balanced equines. During her time overseas Caron has been invited to work with horses, owners and trainers at a number of prestigious stables such as:

Teaching a 3-day workshop for a VIP group of female equestrians on the concepts of Join-Up.

King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Centre, KSA

Working with breeding stallion trainers on techniques to better handle difficult and dangerous horses that had become a safety concern for the Breeding Manager.

Satish Seemar, Champion UAE Trainer, Zabeel Stables, UAE

Working with remedial Arabian and Thoroughbred starters, taking youngsters from their first saddle, bridle and rider through to a ready state to begin track work.
